This is a copy of the newsletter Tyler Perry sent out to his fans:

Hey there!

Okay, I've been watching these reruns of HOUSE OF PAYNE on TBS and I gottatell you that I cannot wait until December 5th! That's when the all new episodes start to air.

In the first episode Curtis has a bad dream and Madea is the Ghost ofChristmas Past, Present and Future. You talk about stupid funny. I cut loose in this one.

And then after that you will see some amazing shows with CJ. He get strapped in a burning building, something's happening with Janine and there is a new barber shop in the show and these guys are hilarious. And that'sall I'm going to say about that. December 5th. I can't wait.

Okay, now on to the reason I'm writing. I've got a little dilemma. A few years ago a friend of mine came to me and she said that she and her husband were having some financial problems and that they needed to borrow some money. Now this was a large sum of money. I said, "You want to'borrow' the money?" She said, "Yes! I
promise that, I will pay you backin six to eight months."

Now before you start judging me about this let me just say at this point that I don't care about the money. I really don't. I have built over thirty houses for Katrina victims and others. I have given away cars and paid for the education of lots of people, built churches and so on, so it's not about the money. But anyway back to what I was saying.

She asked me not to tell her husband because she didn't want him to know about the financial position that she had gotten them into. Needless to say, it's been almost three years and she has still not paid me a dime.

Now listen, here's the catch. Every time I see her husband he is telling me about the new car they have bought or the new multi-million dollar house that they have bought and I'm very short with him because I don'tknow what to say. It's not like she said, "Give me the money." She said,"Let me borrow it."

So, one day I was driving down the street and he spotted my car. He tried to flag me down. I kept going because people are always trying toflag me down. Also I didn't recognize the car that he was driving becauseit was another new expensive car that they had apparently bought. Anyway he caught up to me at the light and he went off on me saying how I havec hanged and that I used to be so cool with them but now I won't take his phone calls. He went off! I kept my cool but that 3rd Ward of New Orleans was about to creep up at that red light. Well, the light changed and he drove off just in time.

So my dilemma is this, do I tell him that his wife borrowed all this money and dodged my phone calls for a year until I stopped calling her or do I just leave it alone and walk away?

I don't have a whole lot of friends and it ain't cool loosing them over money.

Hit me up tell me what you think.

Tyler P.

Now I for one ain't mad at Tyler. I'm not sure how I would have handled this situation okay I'm lying I know exactly how I would have handled this situation, but it's not about me it's about Tyler. So I am going to keep my focus on him. You see I understand completely what he means when he says it's not about the money; it's about the principle. Just because a person has money doesn't mean they want to give you their hard earned money. And these people are rolling around in nice and expensive cars as if they don't have a care in the world. Now if i was him I would forget about the entire. I wouldn't tell the husband anything. She is the one who has blocked her blessing. There may come a time when she really needs some help and Tyler is not going to be there for her because she is the one who burned the bridge. I just don't understand why when people owe you money they just can't answer the phone and tell you they don't have right now or something. STOP AVOIDING PEOPLE'S CALLS WHEN YOU OWE THEM MONEY!!! Okay I digress. I just needed to get that off my chest. As you can tell I have had my own personal experience with this type of thing. That's why no one can borrow money from me anymore. Like my godmother always told me "Never lend out money you can't afford to give away." Because at the end of the day lending money to family and friends is just like giving money away. You know these people are never going to pay you back so there is no point in even sweating it. Tyler just needs to charge this one to the game and move on. Take it as a lesson learned.
