MSNBC.com is projecting that former Massachusetts' governor Mitt Romney will win the Michigan GOP primary with Senator McCain coming in second and Gov. Mike Huckabee coming in third.

The central issue in the Michigan primary was that of the Economy with Michigan's umemployment rate being that of 7.4% while the national rate is that of 5.0%.

  1. Well, for one he should have won because he is a native son. Had he not been able to win his own home state (i.e. Al Gore) then there is no point in him continuing in the election anyway.

The most telling thing that came out of Michigan was the fact that Americans are beginning to turn their attention to the Economy and the declining dollar.
