The Savvy Sista would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest contributor, ThePlayer. ThePlayer is a thirtysomething single, professional brother living in the ATL (shawty). He is joining our family to offer relationship advice to all the sistas from a brother's perspective. Trust me this brother is going to give it to you straight no chaser.

I know a lot of you might be wondering why I would have a man join The Savvy Sista, especially since the site is about empowering women, but the answer is actually quite simple. I have a lot of guys that read this site and they are always asking me to include a male point-of-view. So I pondered (yes, I said pondered) their request and decided that the best way I can please my male readers without alienating my female readers is to have a brother on the site that gives advice to the sistas from a male perspective. I wanted a real brother who is deep off in the Game and someone who's not just talking about it but actually living it. So that is why I asked this brother to join the family.

I'm trying to be nice and let you down gently, but yet you still trying to pursue me. I told you I only want to be friends, but yet you are dead set on the fact that you think I'm your wife. What the hell is up with that?

  2. This is a question I have always wanted to ask a man. What is up with some men and their fascination with anal sex? I mean should I be concern with the fact that my man wants to have anal sex all the time? The whole thing is unnatural to me. I'm beginning to think the brother is a little 'Brokeback'. I'm not sure if this is the type of questions you are going to be addressing, but I thought I would put it out there.

  3. Please help me out! What is the infatuation with light-skinned women with long hair? I understand if a woman is beautiful and just happens to have long hair and fair skin but damn... Why are so many black men ONLY willing to pursue these types of women?
    I am a brown woman and I am GORGEOUS. Yet I keep attracting men that only date light, damn-near-white-and-sometimes-white women with unattractive weaves. She could be the most tranny-looking woman with a face only a mother could love and the body of a ten-year old boy, yet she is still highly coveted because of her hair (which is almost never human grown) and skin.
    I am interested in dating a man that was married to a white woman and appears to have a pattern of dating "pale" women.
    Is there any hope that I can date this man in spite of his relationship history? Why are brown and dark-skinned women not seen as "trophies"?
