Sensual ... Sade will again be dining out on dinner parties with this album.
*It's official – Sade's new album "Soldier of Love" has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart and has reached gold status in only its first week of sales.

The album — Sade's first in ten years and first No. 1 disc in 20 years – sold 501,665 units in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The CD is the follow-up to their Grammy-winning album "Lovers Rock," released in 2000. source

Sade going gold in a week proves that the music industry may not be dead but is on life support instead.  The band's album sales just proves that people crave and are hungry for good music.  I've always believed that.  People in the industry are constantly blaming the internet and bootleggers for the decline of the industry, but did they ever think that perhaps it is the trash they are putting out and calling music that's the problem.  I mean think about it honestly, have you ever bootlegged a Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, or Michael Jackson album?  Can you imagine someone trying to sell you a bootleg copy of 'Songs in the Key of Life'?  Stuff like that just doesn't happen and if it doesn I've never seen it.
The point I'm trying to make is the fact that people are willing to support stuff when its good.  When artists (I use that term loosely) get back to making great albums is when people will start back to purchasing albums.  I really believe it's as simple as that.  If the musicians of the day starting saying something in their records maybe people will start to listen again.  I'm just saying...........
