Jimmy McMillan

First he coined the now infamous "The Rent is Too Damn High" catch phrase during the New York gubernatorial debate and now Jimmy McMillan is finding a way to actually help pay it.

The renter friendly politico recently joined forces with leading online auction site, unveiling a month long "Pay Your Rent for Pennies" auction campaign that officially launches on election day.

"People workin' 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week and some a third job just to get the latest electronics and gadgets. At, they're offering brand new items at 60, 70, even 80 percent off.  Why?  Cause the Rent is Too Damn High! ," says McMillan in a video introducing the campaign to renters across the country. The campaign coincides with McMillan's mission of lower rents, providing winning bidders in the "Pay Your Rent for Pennies" auctions with one month's rent (up to $1,200).
