Queen Latifah's new series, "Single Ladies", premiered on VH1 last night. The show stars Stacey Dash, LisaRaye McCoy, Charity Shea, and Lauren London.

Catch "Single Ladies" on VH1 on Mondays at 9PM EST.

I was watching the comments on the show on Twitter and what I've been able to gather from my "scientific experiment" (hey, if Psychology Today can put out some nonsense and call it scientific data than so can I) is that you all are not too happy with the direction of the show. Personally, it reminded me of 'Sex and the City' and I loved 'SATC. So I would love to hear what you think.

  1. I watched it and thought it was cool. At least it's not another dang on reality show.

  2. I watched most of it. From a storyline perspective, I'm not crazy about the direction it seems to be going in. Perhaps that will get better. But there doesn't appear to be much chemistry between the actors or just bad acting or a combination. If that was better, then I could possibly get into the story more.

  3. There were a lot of problems with the show but one of the main problems I had was the fact that it seems that the only way black folks can be considered successful is if it has something to do with the entertainment industry. LisaRaye's character is a video hoe, Stacey Dash is a former stylist who was dating an NBA player. It was just stereotypical ghetto fabulous BS. At least on Girlfriends, Joan was a lawyer. Can we figure out a way to think outside the mold. Maybe someone could have been a dentist, teacher, accountant, day trader, or something. Is that too much to ask?

  4. I enjoyed it! It also reminded me of Girlfriends and Sex in the City. I am sooo over all these reality shows so this was a good alternative.

  5. This show NEEDS MORE IMPROVEMENT! Not bad but not too good. LisaRaye and Stacy Dash NEED NEED ACTING CLASSES ASAP!The men ain't all that.In Ep 1-the white chick needs another man casted as the husband. it needs work but SINGLE LADIES COULD SURVIVE IF IMPROVED!.
