Football Player Causes Controversy With Bin Laden Tweets
Pittsburgh Steeler's running back, Rashard Mendenhall caused quite a stir on Twitter with his tweets about Osama bin Laden and 9/11.  Below is a sample of things that he said.

Among Mendenhall's series of Tweets about 9/11 Monday evening:

• "We'll never know what really happened. I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition style"

• "I believe in God. I believe we're ALL his children. And I believe HE is the ONE and ONLY judge."

• "Those who judge others, will also be judged themselves."

"For those of you who said you want to see Bin Laden burn in hell . . . I ask how would God feel about your heart?"

  1. He may have a hard time believing that a plane demolished the twin towers but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. He's off on that point.

I don't think there is anything wrong with righteous indignation nor seeking justice. I believe God is a just God.

I know that some people have wondered is it the "Christian" thing to do to be happy about this man's demise. I don't understand this point of view, because all throughout scripture people rejoiced when the were victorious in war.

Unfortunately, this player has brought alot of attention to himself and I'm pretty sure the feedback is pretty nasty. I don't wish him any ill but he has ventured into the lion's den because of his comments.

One is certainly entitled to his/her own thoughts, feelings and opinions. But one had better be darn sure that he/she can live with the consequences of sharing those thoughts, feelings and opinions with the world!
