The new class for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was announced and there were some glaring omissions that left a few people scratching their head. The ones to make it in were Guns N' Roses, The Beastie Boys, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lauro Nyro, and The Small Faces/The Faces. But it was the ones that were also on the ballot that didn't make it in that kind of caught me by surprise such as Rufus and Chaka Khan and Donna Summer.

Now granted Hip-Hop pioneers Eric B. and Rakim were also on the list, but I'm not that surprised they didn't make it in their first go at it, but the omission of Ms. Summer who was the Queen of Disco is very striking to me. I want Rufus and Chaka in just because hell it's Chaka Khan, but are you seriously telling me these other acts deserved to get in before Donna Summers?

Maybe it's just me, but this really pissed me off a little bit.

What do you think? Am I making much ado about nothing or did these musical treasures get snubbed?

  1. I agree completely. Donna Summer deserves it.

  2. I'm in total agreement, Queen Donna should've made it.

  3. I Agree Chaka Khan the Icon needed to be included
