Okay, did you watch the Iowa Caucus last night? Well, between the Caucus, the Sugar Bowl, and the Hawks vs. the Bulls I was a very busy camper last night. Who knew I was so good with a remote.

Well any way, I'm going to give you my take on what happened last night at the Iowa Caucus.

Here's my list of the biggest winners:

Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, and President Obama

Even though Mitt barely beat Santorum by 8 votes, he's still the big winner of the night because the crowded field still plays to his advantage. The GOP may not be over enthusiastic about his possible nomination, but there doesn't appear to be anything they can do about it. The Tea Party maybe the home of the anti-establishment but it appears the establishment is going to run the table with Romney. He's all but assured a victory in New Hampshire although he better be on the look out for Newt Gingrich who is definitely out for blood after what Romney's campaign did to him in Iowa.

Santorum is a big winner because even though everybody and their momma knows he's not going to get the nomination (you don't have to be a pyschic to predict this) he still positioned himself to get a nice posh job on Fox News as a political commentator. He doesn't have the organization or money to win the other states that are quickly coming up. But all he has to do is model himself after Mike Huckabee and he'll be just fine.

The President comes off as a big winner because a GOP divided makes for an easier road to re-election. I'm not saying it's going to be easy for him by any means, but at least there will be a few less bumps in the road. Mitt Romney has because become the assumed nominee and the fact that the GOP electorate is not as excited about him as a nominee is a very good sign for the President.

The Biggest Loser:

Michele Bachmann
The Congresswoman from Minnesota has got to be the biggest loser of the night. As a native of Iowa and a Tea Party darling, finishing in last place (Jon Huntsman didn't campaign in Iowa) has to be deflating to her campaign. Bachmann's campaign started off red hot but unfortunately it burned out pretty quickly.

So what were your thoughts on last night's election results.
