In one speech, President Clinton did what I have been begging Democrats to do for the past three years: he defended President Obama and his policies.

It was one of the best policy speeches I've seen in a long time, and it was Clinton at his finest.

He went through the Republican talking points line by line and took them apart like the master craftsmen that he is.  It was a brilliant speech.  The man put on a clinic as to how you defend this President.  It brought tears to my eyes because finally someone on the Democratic side was pushing back against the Republican lies.

Bill Clinton explain the accomplishments of the Obama Administration better than anyone in the administration has ever done.

The President should hire him as his Press Secretary or Communications Director.

This is how you defend yourself.

There were so many lines in this speech, I don't even know where to begin.

Bill Clinton touched on the hate for the President on the other side, he talked about the hypocrisy of Paul Ryan: "It takes some brass to attack a guy for doing what you did!"

He spoke on Medicaid, he talked about the 'Welfare to Work' lies the Republicans had been spreading, and he talked about 'Arithmetic'.

I love how he said that no President, including him, could have brought the economy back in four years.

It was just a masterful speech from a masterful politician.

Hate him or love him, you have to admit that Bill Clinton is one of the best damn politicians this country has ever seen and that's the reason the Right hates him.

  1. YES! 42 did the damn thang. That's how you give a speech. I sat in awe. Loved it!

  2. I agree. It was a long speech but not long-winded. Very well explained and civil. Alot of lessons to be learned. Overall I am please with the defense of the president at the DNC. Just wished they had done this earlier.
