I'll admit I didn't watch the VMA's. I felt my life was better served watching the Democratic National Convention. Maybe it has something to do with age, but the VMA's are just not that appealing to me anymore. Or, maybe it has something to do with this stuff that they're trying to pass off as music. Either way, I knew I wasn't watching.

Well, It would appear that while I wasn't watching something interesting happened that got all the people a talking.

Evidently there was a micro-second hug between Rihanna and Chris Brown while the cameras weren't rolling and pow, the world stop spinning.

Now you know, given their past history, this was going to be a big f-ing deal.  I understand that. But what I don't understand is why people have more animosity towards Chris than Rihanna does. We act as if we were with the ones with the bloody and battered face. I'm not trying to trivialize what she went through, but I'm just saying that if she can move on with her life then why can't we let her?

Personally, I don't have a problem with what she did. It looks like she acknowledge him civilly and kept it moving. The hug she had with his friend seemed to be longer than the one she had with Chris.

If Rihanna has forgiven Chris and decided to move on, then let her. Her holding animosity just to satisfy some people that don't know her is doing nothing but harming her. Forgiveness is for you and not the person who transgressed you.

The biggest is thing is whether or not Chris Brown is ever going to be able to forgive himself for what he did to her.

Rihanna appears to have freed herself from being a victim, but yet it is us who continue to try and victimize her by reminding her that she is in fact a victim and not a survivor. There's a difference.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't think they should get back together, but that's just my opinion and it doesn't matter in how they chose to live their life. Just as I'm not living for them, they are not living for me.

We can all have an opinion on someone else's life but at the end of the day it's their life. It's Rihanna's life.
